Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

This policy covers tapebull.com (this site) and app.tapebull.com (the app). Browsing this site collects nothing about you — there is no sign-up form and no analytics. Everything below concerns the app, where you hold an account.

What we collect

You sign in with Google, and Google passes us four things: your email address, your display name, the web address of your profile picture, and the account identifier Google uses for you. We store those in our own database, alongside the plan your account is on and the dates the record was created and last changed. We never receive or store your Google password, and we ask for nothing else — no postal address, no phone number, no payment details.

What we use it for

Your email identifies your account and is how we would reach you about the service. Your name and picture appear in the app's own navigation so you can tell which account you are signed in as. Your plan decides what you can see. None of it is sold, rented, or handed to advertisers, and we build no advertising or behavioural profile from it.

Signing in with Google

Authentication happens on Google's own pages, under Google's privacy policy — we only receive the result. Google therefore knows that you signed in here. You can revoke that access at any time in your Google account's security settings; that stops future sign-ins, but it does not by itself delete the record we already hold.

Cookies

The app sets one cookie: a signed session token that keeps you logged in. It is strictly necessary — without it there is no way to stay signed in between page loads — and it carries no tracking identifier. We set no advertising cookies and run no third-party analytics.

Invite codes

If you redeem an invite code we record which code it was, which account redeemed it, and when. That record is what lets us honour your account's upgrade and stop a code being used beyond its limit.

The former waitlist

Earlier versions of this site offered an email waitlist protected by Google reCAPTCHA. That form is no longer shown anywhere, and no new submissions are being taken. If you submitted your email address and consent while it was live, we still hold that record and nothing else; ask and we will erase it.

Retention, erasure, and how to reach us

We keep your account record for as long as the account exists. This version of the product has no self-service delete button: write to our support address and we will erase your data — or send you a copy of it — by hand. You do not have to justify the request.
